Therm-a-Rest Juno Blanket – Puffy Packable Camp Blanket
Our Juno Blanket turns any camp setup into a cozy retreat. This packable blanket combines synthetic insulation with a soft ripstop shell to deliver warmth you can throw over your shoulders, tuck into your sleeping bag, or spread across your lap at the campfire.
Whether you're wrapping up after a long hike or adding extra warmth to your sleep system, the Juno packs down small and weighs less than a liter of water. We built it for backpackers who want versatile layering without the bulk of traditional quilts.
The Juno's water-resistant finish sheds light moisture and campsite splashes while the durable ripstop fabric resists snags from tent zippers and gear. Integrated loops let you clip it to your pack or attach it to compatible Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads and bags for a complete four-season sleep system.
What makes the Juno different

Insulation that works in any weather
The Juno relies on our eraLoft synthetic insulation to maintain warmth retention across a wide range of conditions. Unlike down that clumps when wet, eraLoft fibers trap heat even after exposure to rain or morning condensation.
We chose synthetic fill specifically for camp blankets because moisture happens. A spilled water bottle, tent condensation, or surprise drizzle won’t ruin your evening warmth. The loft recovers quickly once you shake out the blanket and let air circulate through the fibers.

Ripstop shell and water resistance
The 20-denier ripstop polyester shell balances durability with packability. Ripstop weave construction contains tears at the crosshatch points so a single snag doesn’t propagate across the entire fabric.
We treat the shell with a DWR coating that causes water droplets to bead and roll off the surface. This finish isn’t a waterproof barrier but handles light rain, splash-back from washing dishes, and dewy grass without soaking through to the insulation.
Attachment system and layering options
Corner loops and side snap points let you integrate the Juno into your existing Therm-a-Rest sleep system. Pair it with a Vesper or Corus quilt for extreme cold or attach it directly to a NeoAir pad using the built-in toggles.
The attachment system uses standard plastic snaps that connect to corresponding points on our quilts and some sleeping bag models. This modular approach means you can add the Juno as a top layer for shoulder-season trips without replacing your entire sleep kit.

Common questions about the Juno blanket
Yes. The Juno features integrated attachment loops that connect to compatible Therm-a-Rest sleeping pads and quilts. These snap-style attachment points let you secure the blanket to your pad to prevent shifting during the night or layer it with a quilt for additional warmth.
The attachment system works with most of our NeoAir and ProLite pad models. If your pad has snap receivers or attachment points you can clip the Juno directly to those anchors.
The Juno provides significantly more insulation than a traditional sleeping bag liner. While liners add 5-10 degrees of warmth the Juno can extend your sleep system's range by 15-20 degrees depending on conditions.
Unlike a liner that fits inside your sleeping bag the Juno works as an external layer. You can drape it over your existing quilt or bag or use it independently as a blanket around camp. It's more versatile than a liner but takes up slightly more pack space.
The Juno works as a standalone quilt in mild conditions above 50°F but it's designed primarily as a supplemental layer. The insulation provides moderate warmth suitable for summer camping or adding to an existing sleep system during colder months.
For three-season backpacking we recommend pairing the Juno with a dedicated quilt like the Vesper or Corus. The attachment points let you build a layered system that adapts to changing overnight temperatures.
The Juno uses synthetic insulation while our down-filled quilts rely on natural fill. Synthetic insulation retains warmth when wet and dries faster than down making the Juno a better choice for humid environments or trips where moisture exposure is likely.
The Juno is lighter and more packable than our Tech Blanket but slightly heavier than ultralight down options. It strikes a middle ground between durability and weight for backpackers who want reliable performance without obsessing over every ounce.
Yes. Machine wash the Juno on a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Tumble dry on low heat to restore loft. The synthetic eraLoft insulation handles washing better than down and doesn't require special cleaners.
We recommend washing the blanket after every 5-7 trips or whenever it accumulates noticeable dirt and oils. Regular washing maintains the DWR coating's effectiveness and prevents body oils from degrading the fabric over time.
Yes. Every Juno includes a drawcord stuff sack sized to compress the blanket down to about 8 × 6 inches. The sack has a simple toggle closure and weighs just over an ounce.
You can attach the stuff sack to external pack loops using a carabiner or small strap if you want the blanket accessible during the day. For long-term storage at home we recommend keeping the Juno loose in a breathable bag rather than compressed.
The regular Juno measures 50 inches wide by 66 inches long when unfurled. That's large enough to cover most people from shoulders to feet or wrap around your torso with overlap.
The dimensions work well for adding over a sleeping quilt or draping across your lap while sitting. If you're particularly tall or want more coverage for two people sharing we offer a larger size that extends the length to 72 inches.
